On Nov. 16, 20015, the student of School of IT, Engineering and Mathematics, Mr. Sulkhan Sulkhanishvili successfully defended his Doctor thesis titled “Designing Computer Networks using Logical-Probability Methods”.

The research objectives of the PhD thesis is to develop a methodology of designing a computer network based on mathematical modeling, logical – probability modeling and quantitative evaluation of the structural reliability of a network.

The research object is the dynamically developing computer network of the University of Georgia. A logical-probability model of the University of Georgia has been developed as a result of the research. The quantitative evaluation of networks with various configurations has been carried out. The research results have been considered while designing the computer network.
